My friend Sheryl Lindsell-Roberts and I went to
visit Anna(above) at

for lunch, Mmmmmm, Sushi.

Anna serves the best sushi in the area, period.

Ken Oringer's Uni Sashimi Bar at Clio is the current title holder for best sashimi in the Boston area. If you want the best sashimi, go to Uni, but be advised they don't take reservations and parking isn't free at the intersection of Mass Ave. and Newbury Street in Boston. If you want free parking and remarkable sushi and sashimi, go to Northborough.

Call ahead to either location and advise them of any food allergies or special requirements.

Remember; your food may have been delivered today but it was ordered in advance. Give these fine dining establishments time to accommodate your requirements and they will.

Order the Crispy Wasabi Maki Roll and then ask Anna for her recommendations.

Tell Anna we said, "Sa bai dee!"

Black Pepper Allergy and BBQ

It is 70 degrees on the deck outside. The grill is ready. The beans are ready. The rice is ready. A beautiful piece of pork is at the ready...now to barbecue. The pantry is full of sauces and rubs from Penzey's, Trader Joe's and Whole Foods to name a few. Every single concoction includes black pepper amongst the ingredients. All but one.

Stonewall Kitchen Honey Barbeque sauce does not have black (or white) pepper from peppercorns.

Delicious.
